An evening of exploration for anyone interested in mindfulness, neuroscience, contemplative practice, politics, psychology and music.

Experience musical guests, a thriving community and TEDTalk style presentations from world renowned neuroscientist Judson Brewer MD PhD Director of Research at the esteemed UMass Medical School Center for Mindfulness, one of Canada’s leading psychologists, a leading researcher in the field of oncology and author of Mindfulness-based Cancer Recovery Linda Carlson PhD RPsych , Chris Ruane former UK Member of Parliament and global advocate for mindfulness, and Brother Phap Hai a senior monastic within the Thich Nhat Hanh tradition. The event will be hosted by Michael Apollo, founder of the A Mindful Society annual conference.

The evening will also include musical performances by Debbie Danbrook, the world’s only female Shakuhachi Flute Master and a string quartet from The Glenn Gould School.

This special two-hour event is a part of the A Mindful Society Annual Conference, running April 21st-23rd at the University of Toronto.
