Discovering Mindful Living: How to Cultivate Peace in a Challenged World

Join us for an evening of exploration into the field of mindfulness, from the perspectives of neuroscience, contemplative practice, music, and dance.

Speakers include Dr. Thupten Jinpa, best-selling author, former monk, and principal translator for H.H. Dalai Lama; Dr. Zindel Segal, distinguished UofT professor of Psychology and Mood Disorders; Dr. Adele Diamond, one of the most influential neuroscientists in the world; and Marc Lesser, MBA Chief Executive Officer at Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, developed at Google headquarters in California.

The evening will also include musical performances by Debbie Danbrook, the world’s only female Shakuhachi Flute Master; a string quartet from The Glenn Gould School; and a drum and dance performance created by Patrick Parson, Artistic Director of the Toronto-based dance company, Ballet Creole.

This special two-hour event is a part of the A Mindful Society Conference series for mindfulness professionals, running May 13th-15th at the University of Toronto.
