Continuing Education

Every conference participant will receive a Letter of Participation for pre-conference workshops, retreats, and for full conference attendance. Certificates of participation may be used to qualify for eligibility for Continuing Education Credits and Professional Development Programs from licensing boards and professional colleges that are not listed below for both the pre-conference full-day workshop and the 2-day A Mindful Society conference. Please contact your own college or association to confirm its requirements.

Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved 7 CE Credits
May 26th-27th Full Conference Workshop approved 16 CE Credits

Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
A Mindful Society is approved by the Canadian Psychological Association to offer continuing education for Psychologists. A Mindful Society maintains responsibility for the program.
*The CPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.

College of Registered Psychotherapists
As a Registered Psychotherapist, Professional Development goals/action plans that align with the conference and meet your and CRPO requirements can contribute to requisite continuing education hours. A Mindful Society will provide all members with access to program documentation for their Learning Record. The duration of Professional Development is:
May 25th Pre-conference Workshop 7 hours
May 26th-27th Full Conference 14 hours
May 28th Post-conference Workshop 5 hours
*It is up to the member to determine if the conference and workshops align with their Professional Development requirements.

Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP)
May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved 7 CE Credits
May 26th and 27th – Full Conference approved 8 CE Credits

Ontario College of Family Physicians
As a family physician, you can participate in a variety of activities that contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of your knowledge and skills. Linking Learning to Practice includes attending a non-certified conference. Linking Learning forms are available on the Mainpro+ portal. Each completed Linking Learning exercise earns five Mainpro+ certified credits.

Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
Members of the OCSWSSW are expected to remain current with knowledge relevant to their area of professional practice under OCSWSSW’s Continuing Competence Program. If you are a registered social worker or social service worker you may be eligible for a reimbursement of up to $500 from the Government of Ontario. Visit for more information and how to apply.
