Continuing Education and Professional Development Programs

Every conference participant will receive a Certificate of Participation for the pre-conference full-day workshop with Dr. Shauna Shapiro and 2-day A Mindful society conference attendance. Certificates of participation may be used to qualify for eligibility for Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) and Professional Development Programs (CPDS) from licensing boards and professional colleges that are not listed below for both the pre-conference full-day workshop and the 2-day A Mindful Society conference. Please contact your own college or association to confirm its requirements.
A Mindful Society has received CE approval with the following organizations:

  • May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved 6.5 CE Credits
  • Ontario Psychological Association (OPA)
  • May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved for 7 CE Credits
  • Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
  • May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved 7 CE Credits
  • Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP)
  • May 25th Pre-Conference Workshop approved 7 CE Credits
  • May 26th and 27th – Apply for CE credits directly with OACCPP

Ontario College of Family Physicians
As a family physician, you can participate in a variety of activities that contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of your knowledge and skills. Linking Learning to Practice includes attending a non-certified conference. Linking Learning forms are available on the Mainpro+ portal. Each completed Linking Learning exercise earns five Mainpro+ certified credits.

Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
Members of the OCSWSSW are expected to remain current with knowledge relevant to their area of professional practice under OCSWSSW’s Continuing Competence Program.
