Jennifer Unger
Senior Policy Advisor, Public Safety Canada

Jennifer Unger serves as Senior Policy Advisor in the Emergency Management and Programs Branch of Public Safety Canada.  With more than fifteen years’ experience in the federal public service, Jennifer currently chairs the national coordination of Emergency Preparedness Week, an annual public awareness activity aimed at inspiring Canadians to take action in their own emergency preparedness.  Jennifer brings her expertise in strategic planning, business transformation and stakeholder relations to her work and is grateful for the opportunity to introduce Mindful Self-Compassion into the workplace.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a specialty in marketing.   Jennifer is also the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her service to Canadians.
