Karen Milligan
Director, Child Self-Regulation Lab, Ryerson University

Dr. Karen Milligan is the Director of the Child Self-Regulation Lab and Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at Ryerson University. She completed her PhD training at the University of Toronto in School and Child Clinical Psychology. Dr. Milligan is the Director of the Child Self-Regulation Lab at Ryerson where she and her students are involved in research focused on the promotion of self-regulation in children and adolescents with or at risk for neurodevelopmental disorders. She is interested in evaluating and showcasing innovative community-based prevention and treatment programs, particularly those that integrate service delivery across traditionally distinct service sectors (e.g., school, mental health, CAS, addictions). Dr. Milligan currently holds research funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation and has published over 25 papers and book chapters.
